Notes
This traditional Italian dessert needs no oven: the cream is light and airy and the coffee-soaked ladyfingers are rich and soft, making it an entry-level dessert. It's rich in protein and calcium but high in sugar and calories, so enjoy it occasionally. It's easy and very friendly to baking beginners: only about half an hour of hands-on time, then four hours in the fridge to set.
