Calculation:
Per batch:
- Beef stock 500 mL
- Beef 250 g (brisket or oxtail)
- Canned tomatoes 2 cans (fresh tomatoes work, but with less flavor)
- Tomato paste 5 g (for extra tomato flavor)
- Potatoes 400 g
- Onion 100 g
- Carrot 100 g
- Parsley 100 g
- Cabbage 200 g
- Red sausage 100 - 200 g
- Olive oil 5 mL (olive oil is for cooking the vegetables; vegetable oil can be used instead)
- Vegetable oil 5 mL (vegetable oil is for searing the beef; olive oil can't replace it)
- Salt 18 g
- Black pepper 3 g
- Try not to substitute fresh tomatoes; canned tomatoes plus tomato paste give more flavor
- Carrot, onion, parsley and beef are essential; everything else can be mixed and matched freely
