Notes
Margherita cookies are crumbly and melt-in-the-mouth with a rich buttery aroma, a classic little Western treat. Made mainly from egg yolk, butter and flour, they are rich in carbohydrates and fat for quick energy. Moderate difficulty; about 45 minutes from prep to out of the oven, and beginners can manage easily.

Calculation:
Given how calorie-dense these treats are, decide how many portions to make beforehand. One portion is just right for one person.
Per portion:
- Cooked egg yolk 1
- Butter 50 g
- White sugar 20 g
- Salt 1 g
- Cake flour 50 g
- Cornstarch 50 g
- Adjust the salt and sugar to taste; for other flavors, replace 3 g of cornstarch per portion with cocoa or matcha powder.
- If possible, sift the egg yolk, flour and other ingredients for a better texture.
- White sugar was chosen because it is easy to get; if possible, use 30 g powdered sugar instead.
- Without an oven, use a microwave or air fryer: microwave on high for 2-3 minutes, or air fry at 150℃ for 20 minutes
